3/25/26 Melody Bomon Chromobacterium Dr. Melody Bomon presented on Chromobacterium violaceum, a bacteria that has resulted in sepsis and death of multiple gibbons. Along with the background on the bacterium, Dr. Bomon presented three cases that led to a discussion of similar cases at other centers. Key takeaways included: 1) the need for quick intervention, 2) careful selection of antibiotics, and 3) possible ways to mitigate transmission.
